Staying in a Hotel when visiting realitives

We recently tripped to Burlington, VT to visit my family member who live there. The main purpose of the trip was to get me a hair cut at my sister’s new barber shop.

We booked a room at the Holiday-Inn express on Shelburn Road, and when we arrived they told us they didn’t allow pets. Major kudos to the desk person for finding us a room at the Hawthorn Suits on Dorset Street that did allow pets and was a suite to boot. It did cost us +$30 a night.

The point of this entry is to say how much easier it was to visit collection of family in the area from a central hotel room. The pool alone made the kids consider this trip as much fun as a Disney World vacation (well, almost.)
