Car Borgs

Lately I’ve been viewing cars as a borg-like attachment/extension to the human body. It’s sort of like a necessary addition to our existing body to enable us to travel much faster safely. I imagine cars could evolve into making us more robot like. It makes me wonder if we’ll ever be willing to seriously upgrade our bodies and do something like attack a metal sub frame to our skeletons that we could attach directly to a vehicle, probably more like a motor cycle. I suppose the logical conclusion to this thinking is making our heads detachable, and designing our transportation systems to only have to transport your head.
